About Peter

Peter Marsden (Waterside Writers) Photo

Peter is sadly no longer with us, but as he was one of the founding members of Waterside Writers, his profile has been included to honour his memory.

Peter loved reading books that took him to strange places, real or imagined, and when he started writing he found that his pen was taking him far away too.

But whatever the setting, some things are constant, like love and fear and courage, and these are also present in the worlds he shared with his readers.

His first two novels, “Amelia, the Monkey and the Magic Bag” and “The Sky Whale”, are both available on Amazon, where Peter is listed as P J Marsden.

Amelia, the Monkey and the Magic Bag

Amelia's aunts and cousins are different from ordinary folk, for they come from another world. And when the family arrives for a holiday visit, strange and exciting things start to happen... 'If you like exotic holidays, clever animals and secret identities, as well as magic, mystery and danger... if you like a long thrilling read, then this is the book for you.'

The Sky Whale

Danny and Alison discover a mysterious creature swimming high up in the sky. The sky-whale is in trouble and the two friends must brave great dangers to save the whale from sinking down to earth.
